up in the morning early
I had a good night's sleep out in the woods and woke about 7.30 to find a wee wren hopping about just next to my head. I think I might have been awake earlier because I remember hearing owls hooting, but must have gone straight back to sleep.
Another fine day, and as I went out for my walk, Sarah was already working in the garden. I joined her later on and we were outdoors again for most of the day. Today I planted lettuce, rocket and French marigolds.
D, S and I all had a break around 5.30pm and took the Kelly Kettle into the woods for a cup of tea. We sat around listening to the birds and watching the Equinoctal sun set below the hill. A 'V' of Whooper swans flew overhead.
