St. Cuthbert’s Way Day 3

We reached the half way point yesterday and today crossed the border with a signpost welcoming us to Scotland or England depending on our direction. Cold and windy today as we spent most of the day walking on top of the Cheviots. The compensation was the dozens and dozens of skylarks that we saw. Apparently the collective noun is an exultation of skylarks. Couldn’t be a better name! Wonderful experience.
