Happy cat

I was awake early , counting door handles and then reading a bit of my Han Suyin about the Malay Emergency.  So much, and so little, has changed.

Had to scrape the car and then I managed to swim for an hour.  The rest of the morning was spent polishing off a list, including the census returns (the 'count day' was yesterday), a long call with K about Apex (didn't recognise her number, a landline.  She's in Applecross), booking rooms in Sydney (but they can be cancelled, checking out the details of this weeks' hotel booking and sorting out my Garmin battery issue.  in between there were chats with J about the progress of the decorating.  I also agreed a date for the appointment that I have been waiting for for 13 months.  It will be Fife.  The waiting list in Lothian is another year!

After J had gone I cut the grass, a little, and pulled up some plants that are bigger than they should be.  Then I sat in the sun with Han Suyin until it got too chilly.  Although it was sunny there was a real nip in the air.

I've had an evening trip to Sainsbury's and now wait8ing for the veggies to roast.  The new line at Cameron Toll is SE Asian food!  Bought sambal which wasn't on the list.

Willow has been enjoying the sun.  Just as well, her favourite sofa is moved, covered up and unavailable.
