All change

Lovely Emma drove me to the Burns unit at Chelsea and Westminster today, the dressing change was incredibly painful, the burn is almost burgundy, it is massive!

It’s actually hurting more as it goes along, they said the fact that it hurts is good but unfortunately there are some areas which are white and they said this means the burn is deeper in these areas and will take longer to heal, they couldn’t really tell me what was going to happen so I just have to be patient and take it day by day, I will go back in four days to have the dressing changed again.

Today’s lovely nurse was from the Philippines and her name was For short for Fortuna.
