A Burning Question
D burned all the hedge trimmings that had spent the winter on the veg patch. It’s an annual event, very close to a year since the last time.
After work I went down a new rabbit hole of understanding mental capacity post-18 and how we can manage L’s affairs when she can’t give us permission to do so. It looks like we have to go down the route of Legal Appointee for benefits and Deputyship for everything else, which in itself involves five forms, up to £1,000 to set up, and it all has to be repeated every year.
Another blow is that our wills seem to have gone missing. So much time, so many permutations, especially relating to L and her needs. My head hurts at the thought of doing it all again.
Nobody said it was easy. No one said it could be this hard. I’m going back to the start
