Groundwork

I’ve been left to my own devices again today, which suits me just fine when I need to focus on specific tasks.

My pet peeve today was that people kept coming into my office and either asking if I wanted the lights on, or worse still, switching them on! It’s such a light space, with 3 big windows, so I much prefer natural light to fluorescent.
Also, (now it’s all tidy) the boss comes in to sit, chill and wind me up about how he thinks it should be his office! Boss or not, I’ve told him it’s my office and he has his own downstairs!

Mine is also conveniently placed for the bathroom; I’m absolutely awash with brews. I never refuse them though, so it’s partly my fault.

What has been nice is that the girls are now coming to me first, rather than going to Linda. I’m starting to feel like a manager.
Good job really, as at the end of next week, Linda is on holiday for TWO WEEKS!!!

I’ve had a reply from the Jury Service today; they’ve agreed to defer my summons until November, which is much better for me :-)
