Hollyhocks

I've been growing a few hollyhocks around the plot, including these 2 by the greenhouse.

As biannuals, hollyhocks flower in their 2nd year and this year is a flowering year, which is exciting!

They're already showing signs of rust but I find it's really hard to control rust organically so I've learnt to live with it.

As I got the seeds from a colleague who picked them from the college where we teach, I'm not sure what colour they'll be - I'd love white, orange or yellow but I'll have to wait and see...
