Original.
This was taken at Wasdale. The signpost he is working on is an original one. The signs are pointing in the right direction so that is ok. This man was using a large hammer to try and release the circular part of the sign, which has 'Greendale' on it. Not the Greendale of 'Postman Pat fame, that Greendale is supposed to be near Kendal! It took some banging and manhandling. I didn't think this went on any more, but this sign is iconic. Look closely and you'll see 'Cumberland.' Also on the post there are the words County Council. 'Cumberland' was the country name before it changed to Cumbria in the 70s
