Lasting!

There are many plants in pots that should have died over winter, but didn't.  This plant (I've forgotten the name) is in our side garden and it has lasted all winter too.  Buds are beginning to form.  On this macro I used flash and see what the result would be like  This was the first time I had used flash, a tip from a friend.  Opinions welcomed.
