Play Date #3
What fun we had today working on our individual projects. Rhonda did an amazing Freda Khalo piece which is nearly done. Rebecca is making a wonderful accordion folded card for her friend's birthday and I am making a box construction using a theme based on a book written by a Maine author, Adeline Trafton, in 1872, An American Girl Abroad. (Sounds like me!) My project has a long way to go yet but I'm enjoying imagining this young woman touring Europe in the 19th century and collecting things from her trip. I spent all day yesterday creating the miniature steamer trunk which is only 2 inches high. The drawers open and close. You will be seeing more of this as it develops, I'm sure.
