Saturday: National Gallery

K and I took ourselves off to the National Gallery of Canada today to have a look at the Canadian Impressionists exhibition.  It was excellent and so interesting to see local Canadian landscapes in that style - I always tend to associate impressionism with French landscapes.

The exhibition aside, the gallery is huge and has some seriously impressive works of art, including European artists such as Van Gogh, Mondrian etc.  Apparently it’s one of the largest spaces in North America.  It’s selection of Canadian art is really comprehensive - it will definitely be worth a return visit.
