The Tree

A lovely sunny day

I had an appointment with the Doctor to see about my knee. X-rays and investigations will follow. The Surgery is in the relatively new Crescent Community building. Outside is this Tree Sculpture.

As a result of their work in the nearby play park, Lynn and Bennett were asked by Dundee City Council to make the ‘Metal Tree’. They insisted on community involvement in the project. Lynn did the project management and Bennett designed the engagement with schools and community groups. Over 200 people were involved and workshops were run by Craig Murdo and Sharon Farnon. The idea was to create a sculptural piece like the dragon in the High Street that children could climb on and feel part of.
