Brolly on the Beach

I walked along Seven Mile Beach this morning, during a short break in the almost constant rain. I too carried an umbrella. We had 150 mm of rain yesterday, somewhat less today. Our average annual rainfall is 1700 mm. So far this year, in the 3 months from 1 January, we've had 1400 mm. Two nearby towns, Lismore and Mullumbimby, are tonight under evacuation for the second time this month. Very worrying.
