Antarctic ice shelf near collapse
While Europe seems to be reveling in good weather (even if there are one or two other problems going on over there), we here in Ottawa have taken a step back in time to winter.
There was a quick melt followed by another deep freeze. It was -15 this morning and I am, as you probably can imagine, thrilled by it.
Early-ish call to my sister to see how the latest victims of JEP (Johnson's Eugenics Plan) are coping. Most seem to be on the mend and the aged relative is happily ensconced in a hotel for the time being.
Highlight so far of the day - other than another negative Covid test - was taking Charlie to the vet's for a claw trim. There was a big sign on the door saying masking is now optional. I go in and of the five staff I see, one is wearing a mask: she had a cough.
Couldn't get out quick enough.
