At the theatre

It was a cool dreary day, so it seemed a good day to go to the fitness centre for a swim. We had a lane each to start with, but then a few more people arrived, so we had to share. Originally I just planned to do 40 lengths today, but in the end I pushed myself to do 50.
This evening we went downtown to the Playhouse in the Park, to see an old favourite Steel Magnolias. I had seen the film years ago, but I had never seen the stage version. It was very well done, and we really enjoyed our night out. This will be the last season in this current theatre - they are in the process of building a big new theatre adjacent. The first couple of productions of 2022/23 season, will be held in different locations, as the project is in its final stages, then this time next year will be the grand opening. They had video artistic rendering of the new theatre in the lobby area, and it looks very impressive!
