Shaker Trace trail

It was another very frosty morning, but then sun with clouds for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, once it had warmed up a bit we headed out to Miami Whitewater Forest, one of the Hamilton County Parks, and went walking on the paved Shaker Trace trail. We’ve had so much rain recently, we wanted to avoid the woodland trails. The whole loop trail is almost 8 miles, but I didn’t feel quite up to that, so we made it an out and back of almost 6 miles. I was hoping there’d be some bird life to photograph, but they were heard rather than seen much today, so instead I made a collage of some scenes along the way.
