Oddfellows' Hall, Forrest Road

The Oddfellows was a friendly society and this hall was built for their own use in 1872.

The statue at the top is of a women with a child in her arms representing Charity.  The three figures below are Faith, Hope and Charity. Immediately above the door is a coat of arms flanked by seated horses.

The Oddfellows sold the hall in 1953.

John C.Hay, the architect, also designed the tenements on either side.

Russia continues to face fierce resistance from Ukraine more than a month after the invasion.
