You learn something new each day, or at least I do and its been a lovely day, well not weather wise, of course, a bit of rain and verrrrrrrrry windy - however, I digress. It was a lovely day for me as I spent it with #1 daughter. We went to Trentham Gardens which is a large indoor and outdoor garden centre with an avenue of independent shops on site. Lucy and I had a mooch round the shops,of course, it would have been rude not to!!. We were very glad to see lots of local Stoke on Trent/Staffs pottery and glass in the shops. In one of the shops, where I could have bought just about everything, I resisted and just bought a gorgeous large oval ironstone dish for my Boss's Birthday next week. One of the shops is full of beautiful items created by Art students from local colleges and the University - stunning pieces of work and so much that I would have liked to have purchased. I could have spent a right load of dosh today but applied the 24hour rule (devised by my daughter) and once home immediately wondered where I would have put all the lovely stuff!!

This is 'the Rill' running through the middle of the Garden Centre and divides those shoppers coming into the Centre and those going out. Shoppers are encouraged to throw pennies, or larger pieces of silver, into the Rill and all monies collected are given to local charities.
