Ice Station Mynd

Just so you'd get my drift from the explanation of parts of the Gliding Club atop the Long Mynd which the intrepid Mr T (disguised as 'Scott of the Antartic') described at the weekend when he was staying in his caravan up here. Snowdrifts up to the gunwales.

We returned today as Mr T is in charge of getting glider pilots' parachutes re-packed and he had some to deliver and it was a great opportunity for me to view the Ice Station Mynd. As temperatures soared to the heady heights of 16 degrees, even on top of the Mynd, this was all that was left of the snow but I still had to shimmy my way carefully into T's caravan (far left) to change the very damp bedding, amongst other things. Can't believe that the snow drifts completely covered the caravans for some days.
