Morning Run on Le Mura between Showers

Dramatic clouds during early morning run around the city walls. Accompanied by fellow runners, dog walkers, cycling commuters, strolling couples and lots of kids headed to school. Ah, the irresistible scent of cornetti fresh out of the oven and headed for delivery to the neighborhood bars. Another rainy day full of beauty. We strolled through the VerdeMura - a garden show set up on Le Mura, vendors selling all types of agriculturral/horticultural crafts & wares, plants & seeds, food & art. Then, we visited the Painters of LIght Art show featuring work by Caravaggio and other artists following his style, including Lucchesans from that era. Extras: Colorful spices and bouganvilla at VerdeMura, 17th c Concert in Lucca by Pietro Paolini a ‘painter of Light’ in the manner of Caravagigio. At the kitchen table after dinner.
