All Fools’ Day
When our children were younger we had fun playing pranks on this day. Now I am all pranked out. There seems to be so much foolishness at large in the world at the moment that there is little point in trying to add to it. Having lived and worked in Qatar I am particularly perplexed that FIFA has chosen to hold this year’s men’s World Cup there later this year.
This morning I composed a letter ‘for publication’. If it is, I will let you know!
The school run was fun. The boys had successfully pranked their mother. We debated the protocol of when the fooling stops. If a prank is set up, but not discovered until tomorrow that’s still ok, apparently!
Both boys are avid and eclectic readers. They have already acquired a life time habit which is great to see.
