beech hedge

Sarah has a busy few days ahead and then she's going away and I was concerned that she wouldn't finish the annual pruning of the beech hedge, which she started a few weeks ago. Last year I cut it back quite a bit and this year Sarah has been working hard to make it a more manageable height; not an easy job. Anyway, I'm pleased to report that the job is done - we have both spent the whole day in our gardening clothes! I weeding the border and the gravel path, but had a break this morning when Joanna and I took Jess for a walk and a swim (Jess, not us).
