Slowly rusting

Another cold sunny start to the day.  As I had been given a mothers day present of an afternoon tea in Exeter we decided to go in early.  We dropped the car at the garage where we bought it, for its free Saturday carwash and walked in to Exeter Quay along the nearby canal.  I always enjoy taking photos of the two derelict boats as we walk in and I particularly liked the light reflecting on the boats hull.  A light lunch in a favourite cafe and then some shopping in town and a bus back to the car.

The car was moved closer to our afternoon tea venue and the weather started to change we even had a little rain.  Fortunately it quickly stopped as we walked back into town.

It was a delightful tea venue that we hadn't noticed before, all very old fashioned in decor and the tea was wonderful.  Everything so freshly baked with different types of breads and fillings and so many different cakes we couldn't eat them all.  We did take them home for tomorrow though.  No need to cook tonight, an extra bonus.
