Mary Had A Little Lamb
We started out our day with a coffee meet up with Debbie, Zion, Allegra and Kevin who had spent the night at their house. It was good to see the community spirit alive and well at Under Pressure.
Then we drove up to Walsall to drop off Kevin’s car at a repair shop and then carry on up together in The Duke to a pub near Derby so we could have lunch and watch a Liverpool game. The plan was to visit Auntie Helen at her new home afterwards, but halfway through lunch we got a phone call from cousin Ruth to say that there was a Covid outbreak at the home so we weren’t allowed to visit after all.
We continued our drive up to Lincoln with a short break at a pub in a town called Southwell. *There was a girl outside with a pet Lamb on a leash like a dog. Maybe her name was Mary?
Kevin had told us about a great sounding traditional Fish and Chips in Upton to eat dinner there, but had to change our plans again today when we found out it closed early on Saturdays!
It felt good to finally arrive at Kevin’s apartment for a shower and a good night’s sleep - it felt like a very long day!
