Daft dogs

Very heavy frost over night which has killed the flowers on my little magnolia tree, already battered by the early morning crow attacks. 

It’s taken about six months to get two sets of friends, actors all,  together for lunch.  They’re in too many hit shows!  But it was fun, the work I did the day before was effective so it wasn’t too much on the day.  

A Skye McAlpine mozzarella salad with dried meats, pot roast lamb from Diana Henry with sweet and sour radicchio and cavolo Nero and my choc cherry cake which was a big hit with M.  

K and M brought their adorable three year old poodle who actually walks on its hind legs unbidden.  Here is K feeding him and W treats.  They left about 7 and we washed up and flopped on the sofa to watch the last Peaky.
