a new year!

Chocks away....as they say...

yet another early start....think i need to reset my body clock....

you know how this is going to play out...i've had no lie-ins, and yet tomorrow morning my head is going to be like a slab of lead weighted to my pillow!

i tell myself, oh well it's good you're up, saves you watching the Chinese GP later. and what a race it was. a great finish for my two favourites, Alonso - the winner!, and Jenson, earning 10 points.

sausage sarnie for breakfast, and then to work on fitting the gate. wood from mums, sawn down to size, and got me a couple of gate posts!

a break at noon to go and pick Liv up who's off to mums for dinner. Greggy is back from his kenyan trip, and he looks well. great to have him back, and can't wait to hear his stories.

final bits done and the gate is fitted!! WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!

time for a walk out with Pete, didn't plan a long one, but still lasts over 2 hours. he found all the mud there was to find! again looked like he had socks on! took him down to the brook and he loved it. he jumped in right at a deep point! managed to get a few good shots of him.

as we trudged home it started to rain, still mild though. Pete was heading for a bath, and i made the torture quick for him.

Roast beef cooking in the oven, and i've got an hour or so to chop down some deadwood, while Pete sleeps.

Dinner done and soon its a distant memory! i cooked some of the samphire (which i bought at borough), flash fried it in a little butter - delish.

lazy evening then. nicely whacked after a lovely weekend.
