Pond Life at Night

This is the pond at night. For some reason it is the only time I can spot the fish. They seem to hide during the day (a sure sign that Mr Heron is around). However, no frogs! Where have they all gone? It is quite spooky out there however, creeping around and looking for pond life in the dark. It is a bit like going out in parts of Newcastle late at night, LOL.

Talking of pond life, it is Thatcher's funeral on Wednesday and no doubt there is going to be a lot of that swimming around St Paul's Cathedral. I wonder if the Beckham's will wangle a 'celebrity seat' or two and perhaps even Elton John will sing 'Saturday night's all right for fighting' (A fitting eulogy for the Lady). However, the Newcastle and Sunderland supporters have decided to kick things off early and apparently were having their annual 'fracas' in the Toon this afternoon.
