Tim’s Bits

An early train out to Wolverhampton (the glamour) to catch up with a couple of YFC colleagues who are going through a bit of a tough time. They took me to Tim Hortons, which I was very excited about but probably more for nostalgia’s sake than the actual quality of coffee / food. I took some timbits back for Ellie and our college students. Wolverhampton isn’t a million miles away but it did feel nice to get out of Shrewsbury for a bit.

Back in time for our college group and then I joined Ellie at school as she was a leader down. A chaotic but wonderful hour or so.

Onto the Curtai for an excellent game of snap with Caty and a lovely bit of snuggling on the sofa, reading with Edie.

Then finally onto runlates which, because it’s the first week of the month, turned into publates / chiplates. A super fun evening of running and chatting with an excellent group of friends.

A couple of missed calls from mum…oh no. Can only mean one thing. Our flights to Nice next week have been cancelled. Gutted, as this was a trip that was postponed from February when covid stopped play. But also very aware that it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the atrocities that so many people across Europe are facing right now.

All in all, just grateful.
