Turnip Tuesday......

A busy one today.
Cattle fed, then spent most of the day sorting out store cattle. There are another 21 to go to the same home as Sunday's load ,and eventually I managed to rake up another 23 for the mart later this week. Unfortunately that's about them all now, so will need to tighten the belt until lambs are ready to sell ( hopefully) by the end of June.
It came on rain later on this afternoon and the wind was getting up too . This 29 ton load of neeps arrived in this afternoon too. Hopefully this will be the last one we need and the grass will start growing soon !
The cow that stole the twin calf last week decided to calve her own one tonight. Then when I went to check the outside ones there was another one had calved . Not sure if it has sucked or not ,but I will chance them until the morning as the cow is a right nasty sod when she calves and I'm getting too old for heroics. So let nature take its course.
