Canaveilles

Today’s walk was a little harder. We walked 11 km with 700 m of ascent. We walked from one remote village to another and then higher still until we reached the snowline and then returned through the woods to our starting point. At the beginning of our walk, a dog from the village decided to accompany us and stayed with us all day. I could see he had some collie in him and, like most sheep dogs in this area, led his flock rather than rounding us from behind. When we stopped, he stopped a little way ahead waiting until we set off again.
