First day back to work in the gardens! Sunshine and this afternoon the temperature in the truck said 13 C. It feels good to be outside working.
I was supposed to do a quote tonight, but the guy really didn't know what he wanted. Or he did, and I told him he couldn't do it. He has a sloped back yard, his neighbor's house is lower than his is. He wants to bring fill in and make his yard level. I told him he would need a retaining wall, he didn't seem to like that idea. I told him that if he tries to build up his yard, that it would affect the drainage into his neighbour's yard and that is against the building code. Since I didn't tell him what he wanted to hear, he thanked me for coming and went back into his house. I wouldn't want to work with someone like that anyways.
Since I didn't have to spend time talking about his plans, and I had my camera with me, I took a quick drive down to the Dartmouth waterfront for some photos tonight.
