Pretty In Pink

It may not be such good idea to take lots and lots of pictures because you end up with too many to choose from. Today was one of those days.

Mary Jo and I spent the morning on a bird walk and I ended up with a spectacular Blue Heron picture which was one of the blip choices. After our walk we drove down to the tulip festival in Skagit County and were faced with an endless array of beautiful flowers to photograph. I think we both topped 500 pictures and of course there were many, many blip choices.

When one is confronted with 300 or so acres of blooming tulips on top of display gardens where they are showcased in beautifully planted beds with amazing configurations of color and design, it's nearly impossible to make a choice. I kept coming back to the picture of this little girl in the lavender tulips. Fields of tulips I could get again if I wanted to go back tomorrow and I suppose the odds are pretty good I could get another Blue Heron shot, but I'll never run across this pretty little girl standing in a field of tulips that match her coat.

Being snowed out yesterday turned out to be a good thing because the weather was perfect today, with only a little mud to deal with as result of the heavy rain. Yesterday would have been at the very least cold and unbearably wet.

If I can't get the Heron out of my mind I may change my blip in a day or two. Or, in the alternative, since he's in the creek right behind the building I work in, maybe I'll see if I can find him on my lunch hour one day.
