Little Blue Engine

I went for a lovely walk through Sheringham Park to Weybourne station and back through the woods with G, JohnRH and W. It's great that the trains are running again for the season and we can get some nice photos and a cuppa. The walkway bridge was also open again, the first time since the pandemic started, so I could take a photo (see Extra) of one of my favourite views - the almost model village like view of Weybourne station. I do like the little blue engine which was coming into the station as we were walking away (I'm sure JohnRH has the proper name for it!). Nice and sunny too, and the wind had dropped.

Day 753 / Day 44 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
The weekly ONS infection survey of private households in the week to 2nd April shows 1 in 13 with the virus in England, Scotland and Wales (up in Wales, level in England and down in Scotland) and 1 in 16 in NI (down). Therefore we might have reached the peak of the BA.2 variant wave, but that's still c4.9m that had the virus. Infection rates are slightly up again in the over 70s. England's R rate was unchanged at 1.1-1.2, with a daily growth rate of between 1% and 4%. A study suggests that the Omicron variant lasts around the same time as a cold. More than 1.2m subscription payments have been stopped since last Summer per Lloyds Bank, tv and music streaming made up 47.1% of cancellations.
