The lap of luxury

This morning we went for a fairly short local walk as a "recce" for the  walk we were leading in the the evening. On the return leg we passed a house with this rather splendid cat  car in the driveway, prepared  for a wedding. I assume it had  been driven there  earlier, and so the  bonnet was now just the purrrfect temperature for a local feline to enjoy.  I hope she didn't leave too many pawprints and  hairs behind!

The walk in the evening for the  local RSPB group proved a pleasant event. Although we didn't find any unusual birds it was lovely to hear the birdsong, including that of blackbird, thrush, and chiffchaff, and  we did see a pair of hares on a ploughed field. The  extra shows  the view  over the South Winchester golf course with the setting sun, shortly before 8pm.
