Quod oculus meus videt

Cannock Extension Junction

Heading out this morning to the supermarket I noticed that there were high clouds over to the east.  I made a slight detour to Pelsall North Common to get a blip.  The common was historically the sight of an iron works and you can still see evidence when walking over the land.  This style of bridge is also very typical of the canalways of the West Midlands.  Many were made at Horsley fields in Wolverhampton and I remember working for that Council in the 1980s and visiting iron works in the area. They used to pour molten metal into casts that had been constructed in pits in the floor of the factory, so big were the items they were making.

After breakfast I did the post processing on the images from last night, sending them off for approval soon after.  Then a short time was spent in the garden planting some sweet peas and cutting the lawn before a heavy shower drove me indoors.
