Sun through the spruce

It was quite misty this morning. I wandered out into the field to look at the sun and the spruce. I liked what I saw.
I had a sad shock though this morning as well. One of my young chickens, Avi, died over night. She was absolutely fine yesterday and we have no idea. My biggest fear is it might be avian flu. If she had it then all my girls have it and it won't be a good thing. It is going around right now. She was quite a unique chicken, very smart and independent and gave me lots of good laughs as well as eggs. I'm just hoping the others will be okay when I look in on them tomorrow morning.
