Buckie Braes

Early shift at the Vaccines. Last weekend of the 5-11 year old appointments. It was busy in parts with most of the kids getting vaccinated very chilled. One wee lad threw up after he had the vaccine while sitting drawing at the table. He was fine!

It was another glorious but cold day. Popped into Hinterland after shift for some soup then on to mums with her shopping.

My step count was way below the 15k per day so when home I got my podcast set up and went up the Buckie Braes loop. This is the first stage before the climb up. The whole area is bursting with daffodils next to the burn and it’s gorgeous. There was no one on the golf course as I passed by the adjoining path so to get more cardio I climbed up to the highest point on the course then down through the community woodland. It’s so good having this in our doorstep without having to get into a car to drive somewhere (especially in these days of extortionate petrol prices).

Steve and Audrey from three doors up got broken into Friday night/sat morning. Their garage is adjoining their house with the car in the drive. The garage door was forced open the lock on their electric bikes was cut off and both bikes taken. Although they didn’t take the batteries. Their security camera didn’t pick anything up which is strange. And they didn’t hear a thing. We had a look on our camera and all that was on it was a lime green transit van passing at 5:30 am. The police were there when we left the house at 8:15. We had a think a came up with the thought that they perhaps saw the bike rack on their car as they had scoped the area previously. Horrible to think these scumbags are walking around looking for potential victims. Probably won’t be caught either.
