Palm Sunday. The start of Holy Week,
We went to the All Age service at our church this morning.
We were each given a rectangular piece of green card to make into a “Palm” branch.
Then in a particularly joyous children’s song, which the children, (and most of the adults,) joined in, we were encouraged to wave our “palm” fans.
Years since I made a paper fan by pleating the paper.
The kids had lots of noisy instruments to shake and tap, and drum.
Palm Sunday marking the day in the church calendar when Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and was welcomed with palm branches and cheering.
We chatted to various folk afterwards before coming home for lunch.
Now halfway round a circular walk later, and just stopped for a coffee at the Local Farmhouse Bistro.
I couldn’t resist taking another photo of the roof I blipped not long ago.
I’m sure it’s got worse since then!
Then I’ll have to work out how to tag it for Derelict Sunday.
4,928 steps so far, and then the walk home. Feels so good to be making progress again.
Photo of church in extras.
