Planting tatties

We took some seed potatoes down to #3 daughter who surprised us by saying she was thinking of swapping to another allotment 2 along from her present one, and wanted her dad’s advice. She’s put a lot of work into the current one but the shed is small and decrepit - it blew over in Storm Arwen. She decided to move so while she and Mr C dug over one bed to plant, and Nathaniel worked away with his little fork, weeding, Ella and I went off for a walk to the Dene.

We were just heading down when we met blipper daver64, who had been photographing birds in the Dene. After a chat with him, Ella and I had a 2.5 mile walk by which time my calf was beginning to pull which was very frustrating. We enjoyed our chat together and by the time we got back the first bed was ready to plant.
