Two lovely churches

Out with A on some geocaching adventures around Sedbergh. The first took us to this little visited, tiny  Methodist church in Cautley with the Howgills in the background. We knew it was little visited because the books inside were mouldy.  The second (extra) was a delightful church in Middleton with a Roman milestone in the churchyard that declares its 53 miles to Carlisle. I couldn't  decide which I preferred. Middleton is just up the road from the Church Mouse café in Barbon which I can report sells excellent carrot cake.
