The Armed Man

We have just returned from a concert in Stirling.
 
There was something poignant and appropriate about the performance of The Armed Man by Karl Jenkins performed by Stirling choir in Holy Rude church.
 
 
He wrote it initially because of the Kosovo war yet it resonates with today’s situation in Ukraine.
 
Have we learnt nothing?
 
PS A friend of mine was singing in the choir and afterwards we retreated to the Portcullis pub under Stirling castle for a celebratory drink. She tells me the choir were ten short because they tested positive for Covid.
