Ultimate Beauty

Hubby had an early appointment with his knee surgeon. The new knee is doing splendidly. My sister and BIL dropped off several four packs of tomato plants that we will share with my children. I had a dental appointment before lunch. Was so happy to get there 15 minutes early only to learn I was actually 45 minutes late. Drat! We rescheduled it. Hubby and Jamie went to Henrico, VA (225 miles round trip) to pick up an outdoor basketball goal/pole set that someone is donating to the school. He found another exact same model in Cumberland, MD for $200 less that is also being donateda. We drive through that town on the way to WV so our BIL will pick it up in his truck. Another family project is in the works. It’s time to plant early spring vegetables. I went to an Amish greenhouse to get some lettuce plants for Kristen and me. They looked very healthy so I bought each of us four of three different varieties. It is way too early to buy annuals or I would have spent a fortune today. Each greenhouse was full of breathtaking sights. These pictures of solenia begonias are a pitiful representation of their beauty. There were tables of these begonias in various colors. The petunia scent was so aromatic, it met you at the door. I could have stayed there all day. When I dropped off Kristen’s lettuce, I realized I did not have my phone. Boy did I make a quick trip back. A customer found it and turned it in to the cashier. She tried to contact hubby since we have our names on our phones with each other’s cell number pasted on the back. Thank you Lord that an honest person found it. I came home, cleaned the kitchen, did laundry and worked in my formal garden. We have leftovers from the children for dinner and my knees are thankful. Thanks for dropping by and leaving comments and stars yesterday. Jamie, Mackenzie, her classmates/teachers and the Turners all reported the desserts were a-ok. It sounds like the war may take an even more brutal turn. So sad. Stay safe. “And some can pot begonias and some can bud a rose, And some are hardly fit to trust with anything that grows ...” - Rudyard Kipling
