A tale of two trains.

A rather grey and damp drizzly day without much in the way of photo opportunities so again I revert to the garage/man cave.
Basically, these two rail-cars above are about thirty years apart and have the same purpose, to provide passenger/mail/baggage service to low usage rural lines.
By the sixties, the private car and greatly improved road network had seen the demise of most of these low density lines and thus these rail cars were scrapped or became museum exhibits.
Thus endeth the lesson!
