The "new normal"

Our yoga teacher revealed in zoom class that four of her regulars have Covid and another one tested positive yesterday. Two of my nieces have got it.

Every time we plan to go away for a short break we hear stories like this and I refuse to budge though if we don’t go away soon there is a danger we might become recluses.

M did get as far as checking out some destinations near Ballachulish thinking it would be lovely remote spot for a bit of walking only the hotel he found was £650 a night, yes for two people! I know prices have gone up but this is ridiculous. Forget it I said I am staying at home.

A bit more searching and he found something modest off the beaten track for just over  £100 a night. So we are considering it. While so many of our friends are already back to travelling and taking holidays until now we have not ventured further than Edinburgh and Glasgow, our excuse is Teddy, our nervous rescue cat. What do we do about Teddy?

As for today’s photo it’s a digital drawing from last night’s Online Life Drawing class- and that’s another thing. So much of our lives these days have moved online. When did I last go into a clothes shop? Not that there are any left in Stirling apart from a few and those are mainly aimed at the teenage market apart from good old Marks and Spencer which we still have. Just.
