Aground

This is the Serene, the boat got into trouble just off south pier last Tuesday when its lines got caught up in its propeller. Once this had happened the Captain lost power and of course nothing could stop it running aground across a sand bank. Efforts by the Lifeboat crew couldnt stop it sinking. No souls were lost during this incident luckily enough, however the boat is a wreck and is currently been dismantled and removed. Poor bugger is no longer sea worthy. Sad really as its the crews lively hoods, apparently it will be another 6 weeks before the insurance company pays up and in the mean time these lads will have it a lot harder than they normally do.
I'm sure they'll be a shanty sung about it soon.
