The Woodland Garden (Thursday 14th April 2022)

A couple of years ago there were a couple of coal tits regularly visiting the feeders, but I never got a picture of them. They disappeared last year but a few weeks ago I definitely saw one fly in from the garden next door and have been keeping an eye out ever since and hoping for  photographic proof.
To this end I have locked the porch door and kept a camera in the porch set up ready to capture the elusive moment. No luck so far, but here is a great tit, taken through the porch double-glazing so not quite as detailed as it might otherwise have been. Note that although it doesn't have a white stripe on its nape, there is a slight white area just where its crown meets its yellow back.
