submarine

Almost made it through the day but no, there is someone else here.

Total pants.

On the bright side, my new tree comes Tuesday. Fireglow is just starting to put out bright red, tiny leaves. The hostas are growing. My second Chocoholic Black Cohosh has emerged. Godzilla has emerged. The third honeysuckle has sort of emerged. It looks like I've only lost one plant (not including crocus bulbs) and that one to the rabbit.

Tonight I did a quick photoshoot of one of the babies while its grandfather was in town.

The Russians did not have their best day. The warship that told the 13 Ukrainian servicemen to surrender, only to be told to go .... do themselves ... is now a submarine. The reporting was terrific. Apparently the famous phrase was repeated when the warship was hit. Initially Ukraine didn't admit to having done it but suggested that maybe two sailers went for a smoke in the wrong place. The warship probably cost hundreds of millions of dollars. American targeting may or may not have helped. Some drone flew around the ship and distracted it and then the ship was hit by two all Ukrainian, not donated, missiles. The Neptune missiles have never before been used in combat. Since it happened, four or five other Russian warships fled further away.

Russia lost its flagship, an anti-aircraft radar and missile system that could see deep into Ukraine. Ukrainian air assets are now safer.

Putin admitted to Russian government officials that sanctions are disrupting Russia’s oil and gas sector, undermining exports, and increasing costs.

Canada is going to deploy troops to Poland to support and care for refugees. They will help process refugees, offer some medical care, and help those looking to resettle in Canada.

The world's largest yacht, linked to a Russian billionaire, has been seized by Germany. It has two helipads and the largest yacht pool ever built.
