Not again...

Just when I thought I was about to get a new kitchen, history seems to be repeating itself. On 3 January 2012 Edinburgh had 102 mph winds and we lost a large part of our roof. Then on 4 January it rained hard and water poured into my kitchen coming through the flat above. That continued whenever it rained for several weeks until the roof was repaired.

At the weekend we had strong winds again and it seems that there is roof damage again as water has been pouring in again, not into the kitchen at present, but that might happen yet. This picture shows the roof at the back of the building - the gutter is missing in the centre, just the brackets are left. Half the missing gutter is in the garden and the rest is up on the roof, having taken part of the roof with it.

My new kitchen was due to start tomorrow - I have the contents of the kitchen in every other room in my flat. But that's now on hold until the roof is fixed. Just when things in my flat seemed to be going well!
