The deed is done........

The moral of the story is - 'never turn your back on a man with a chain saw'. The tree does grow by about 4 feet each year but after today's cutting back it looks devastated. Our sheltered, secluded garden is now much lighter but open to all who pass. The visiting birds seem shocked. I have put the bird feeders back as best I can but I am not sure they will return, especially if the local sparrowhawk fancies easy pickings.
A busy day with jazz jamming this morning and then lunch at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It is good to see the Park very busy with many families taking advantage of the fine holiday weather. (Images to follow in the next few days.)
