Life Goes On

Ladybugs start out as tiny eggs, the eggs hatch into these strange little alligators; this larva or nymph then goes dormant for awhile in a sort of shell, the way a caterpillar enters a chrysalid stage. It's here that an amazing thing happens: everything in there is reorganized to make a new being--the caterpillar becomes a butterfly and the little alligator becomes a ladybug! I learned all this because I have a camera.
